Thanks to the tech wizards at Zannel, we’ve got a fun widget to introduce! Zannel has been kind enough to help Davy and Peter Rothbart chronicle their travels on the There Goes the Neighborhood tour through videos and photographs (which they shoot and instantly upload to the Zannel/FOUND site) … and now they’ve provided a widget that automatically updates to the most recent post from Davy and Peter.

Dear Sir,
Your employer has not indicated that shortages was your reason for discharge. Stated you played with matches and set fire to paper in a trash can. Set fire to reports. Wrote abscene graffiti on the paper work, calendars and posted signs. You engaged in hourseplay — pouring ammonia on dry ice in the back room which caused the dry ice to explode. You twirled a broom and hit a customer in the head.

FOUND invades Germany! Absender unbekannt, the German translation of FOUND, got a nice profile in the big-time German magazine Der Spiegel last week. Check out the German version here and the English translation here. Glückwünsche und Dank, Deutschland!

Well, we’re not sure whose mistake it was - ours, yours, or the broken condom - but we’re celebrating like crazy today because the FOUND II book has just been born! Time to light up a cigar!
We are so excited about this book and so grateful to all you finders who are this book’s proud parents. Not to play favorites, but we’ve received so many absolutely stunning and incredible finds from all of you over the past couple of years, we can say positively that this 2nd FOUND book is even more wonderful than the 1st! It’s 226 pages of brand-new finds that have never been printed anywhere before, and 30 pages of all-time favorites from recent issues of the magazine.
Go and check out Davy’s “This American Life” story from last week (episode 184, “Neighbors”). This particular TAL’s theme was “Neighbors,” and Davy tells a story about a past visit with Mr. Rodgers. Check out the RealAudio version here.
Davy Rothbart did a hilarious 1-minute video spot for USA Network’s “Show Us Your Character” campaign. If you haven’t already seen it on TV, check it out here!
